erratic operation of the hog ?

When I click on a topic, the topic is displayed correctly, then expands sideways by 2 inches between avatar name and avatar, and then another 2 inches to the text .Using a Mac Book Pro, 2/14. Did not knowingly change any settings. Started happening 3 days ago. Does not happen to my other Mac Book Pro. Running 'Maverics' os on both machines. Using Firefox browser. Never a problem before. Any one else ?
