I've never been an American motorcycle fan. I've owned 1 BSA, 2 Triumph, 4 Yamaha, and a few scooters.
I LOVE English motorcycles.
I still subscribe to Cycle World.
Thanks for posting these pictures and articles.

Even back as far as 1976 American bikes, HD, were not completely made in the US. Helping my brother in law break down his '76 HD we found parts marked Mexico.

Like some of our autos, parts come from both Mexico and Canada. :(

You got one right here amongst us. Photo taken of me in 1981.

A part bike, 1340cc, 80 cubic inch Shovelhead built from the bottom~up, by me of all Harley Davidson Parts. Lived out of my saddle~bags, on the road and in the wind for years, all over the western U.S. Out of So. Calif.

Aaahh yeah! The good o'le years. Some of us are still around.

Thanks. I was reading about the S1000RR yesterday and decided, if I buy a street bike, this will be it.
My life expectance will plummet but.... what a way to go.

Victory is a pretty major brand, and I'm pretty sure they're based out of Iowa...
