I have not yet pulled the trigger and purchased it yet? I am very seriously thinking of upgrading my from my D700 to this camera. Has anyone shot with th Nikon D750. And what are your thoughts I have read the blogs but would like to Hear from actual users?

Received it yesterday and taking it out today. It is truly a bit smaller and lighter than the D800 with a similar quiet sound. Very fast too. I also got the 24-120 lens as a good walk around lens. Both are for. Y wife and our next trip, but of course I get to test it out.

The D800 is 31.7 oz and the D750 is 26.5 oz. To me, not much weight difference.

I have not weighed it but by your figures that would be 16.5%. And almost an inch less tall making it much easier for people with small hands to reach the buttons. Both important to my wife. Thanks.

Excellent review but I was wondering about the raw support.
When I got my D610, Lightroom (on a windows PC) would ask if I want to let Lightroom try to render the raw file and when I said yes it would open the raw file with no problems. Does lightroom still ask if you want to try to render the D750 raw file?

Go to Adobe converter on line and down load the 8.3 converter it will take all your NEF files and convert them to a DNG fill in Raw and they will open automatically. Also if you up grade lightroom to 5.6 the conversion process should be automatic

What if you don't want to convert to DNG files. Will Lightroom 5.6 render the D750 raw files?

Lightroom will process D750 files as soon as Adobe updates their Camera Raw plug-in to support this new camera. As in every new model release Adobe is always a little behind in issuing updates to their software. I suspect ACR 8.7 will be available this month sometime.

I don't have ACR. Lightroom offers the option to render within lightroom and I assume that lightroom has a internal raw converter. So has anyone tried to import a D750 raw file into Lightroom 5.6? Will lightroom render the file?
