My Grandaughter has a 10" Coby (Kyros) Model 1125 tablet and has forgotten the password. I found some tips on the web suggesting power-down, hold back button and the power button at same time 'till the Android icon appears, then the 'back' button once to activate recovery screen...
Well, that last action does not produce the recovery screen (as it should), from which you should then be able to 'Delete all user date' and reset the thing. Stumped!
Any possible help so I can get her back in business (and off my back:o)?

Throw it away and get her an Ipad
Thanks tenbanshee, that's a slightly different approach than I've tried in the past. I forwarded the link to the video to my son. Hope it works.. his daughter will be delighted. Thanks again.

I have a couple of inexpensive Android tablets and was looking to upgrade to something better. I looked into an Ipad mini that was on sale at Best Buy for $199, down from $299. I use the cheap tablets to play games, watch videos and go on line if there is WiFi available. They have ports for Micro SD cards, full size or micro USBs and full or micro HDMI ports. The only thing the Ipad had was 8 GB of internal storage which would fill up fast. I was surprised it didn't have the micro SD card slot since just about every other tablet I looked at did. There was no way I was going to buy this piece of crap and wound up getting a Samsung Galaxy tablet instead.
I hate passwords. I have a little book of them. I needed the little cardboard thingy (wave guide cover) inside my microwave oven. I had to set up an account with the Sharp parts store to order a new one online... (like I'm ever going to need another one?)
