This is a collection of photos from a previous year's Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque. It's an awesome and colorful spectacle that one should go to at least once.

Nice collection. You were lucky when you came as you managed to get some of the special shapes flying. When we went for special shape day, the wind was too high and they didn't lift off. They inflated but I really wanted to see them take off and fly - especially the cow.

I seem to recall that the cow didn't fly when I was there. It was inflated and then deflated for some reason. An air leak?

It's a very difficult balloon - it's lopsided and I think the weight might be a factor, plus I don't believe it has a gondola so it's always tethered. The year we went, I got several pictures of it being deflated. I think that was the most impressive site for me.
