I recently bought a Nikon D5100 and works wonders. I also incorporated a GPS from Opekta. I didn't trust it at first because it was dirt cheap($35.00) I did reviews on this item and reviews were mostly positive. Anyway I took some test shots with the GPS locating my position. When I got home I hook the camera up to my laptop and made a transfer of my images. Now comes the cool part. When I bought the camera, included was a program titled ViewNX2. In this program was a place I could click on geo tags. When I did this "bingo" the exact spot where my picture was taken appeared on a map(similar to google maps).
I'm going to Italy in October and this camera along with GPS will be great.

Welcome, Mickey. I have GPS too, and I just love it! Won't it be great when you get back and you can see where you were when you snapped each shot? :-)
