Hello, I am from Walker Basin, Calirornia.
I am a beginner, and would like all the help I can get.
Point Reyes
Point Reyes Fog
Fishing Shack
#1 I would crop a little from the bottom #2 looks under exposed and I would crop some of the water at the top of the picture. #3 I would crop some of the left side
Welcome!
First, turn off the date stamp on the pictures :)
For specific questions, check the search function at top of page for previous topics. Or post a photo (one only) to the critique forum, or post more than one to Photo Gallery, with "critique requested" in the title.
I agree with jsharp's recommendations re cropping (I'm thinking #2 has some fog?), though overall, I find the images to be very interesting compositions. You're on your way!
Oh - and if you're looking for a free editing program to get your feet wet in post-processing, try Picasa.

Cropped and Vib/Sat work in Photoshop
Welcome to the Hog, Z. Best to fill the frame in-camera when you can. ArtzDarkroom showed you how with his crop. ;)
Greetings zcameraman, and welcome to the UHH!

Welcome to the HOG. You have some OK pictures. They could use a bit of tweaking as they don't POP. You want to turn off the date stamp, Everything is in the camera data. Date, Time, ISO, f stop, shutter speed and lens setting. When you post and click on "store original" that info in available to others. If you have Windows 7 you can right click on a picture and click on "properties" and that data will come up. Good luck. David
Welcome to UHH. Enjoy the forum and keep those posts coming.
