Ok, after several times trying to place a special portrait of our blonde cockapoo puppy into the Avatar block, but having failure, I've decided to create the Avatar to be that of my wife, Vicki, our little dog, Mac, and Old Doug (that' me).

Also, for our fellow member to enjoy, (jcoty), I am enclosing a B&W salon photo which had won me a gold medal best of show in an International competition..

Hopefully, I've posted the photo correctly, because doing such is new to me.

Sailorsmom & Photog8,

Many thanks go out to both of you for your kind comments and I ask that you forgive me for posting the photo of Amy, but I had posted it for our fellow member, jdcoty, just so that he would realize that there are others of we UHH members who had once done quite nicely with our endeavors into the art form of salon photography, especially, that of exhibition B&W photography..

The original prints of Amy, of which I only remain to have two, are copies that are 16"x20" mounted, matted, and framed whereby they will stay in my personal collection..

Notably, the photo of Amy and others had been made from and 8"x10" negative which I had created by using the zone system methods with exposure and with developing. To get my 16x20 print size, I had been lucky to had purchased 2 antique view cameras whereby one had been patched up, as it had several holes in it's bellows and the other one, I had a machinist make a double brass, geared, focusing rail mounted with an 8x10 cold light head and a Schneider lens for focusing ~ to become an enlarger..

Needless to say, the quality of a 16x20 print made from an 8x10 negative is as good as it gets and, if wanted, and sharp as a tack.

Thanks, again for commenting !
