Friday and Saturday were Member's Day for the opening weekend of the 2014 Spider Pavilion:
http://www.nhm.org/site/explore-exhibits/special-exhibits/spider-pavilion .

I was first one through the door at 10 a.m. on Friday. I will return several more times during the Fall, as more spiders are added.

Typical exposure: Hand-held Nikon D5200 at ISO 200, with Nikkor 105G macro lens, 1/200-sec at f/16, diffused sunlight & Nikon SB-600 speedlight with FotoDiox 6x8-inch softbox diffuser.

Good stuff Douglass  Where's the Jumpers though? What kind of Spider House doesn't have Jumpers? :|

I'll have to go check it out when some of babies start to hatch

I'd be glad to trade a Spider house for your backyard but, I get to keep our climate  :)

WOW! Captive models! I especially like the 8th one. She looks ready to use her fangs. "You wanna piece of this Buddy?"

Very cool, Douglass! :-D

I like the Spider Pavilion (Fall months) better than the Butterfly Pavilion (Spring & Summer months), which is actually the same enclosure. Here is my Spider Pavilion album, compiled over a few recent years: http://www.flickr.com/photos/nikonian72/sets/72157624991480416
