Hiding down in the flower head worked well for this Ambush bug.
Nikon D7000 at ISO 200, with Tamron 180mm macro lens at 1:1, Nikon SB-800 speedlight, hot shoe mounted, with DIY snoot & Fotodiox 6x8 diffuser, all flaps in use. 1/200-sec at f/16.
