There's this place that harbors cats. They are outdoor cats and live in the barn with the horses. Some are sooo friendly and just kitty-bumped me begging to be taken home while others seem feral and won't let you near them. It's a beautiful place, but most of the kitties were soooo skinny, and one had some kind of disease where he was losing his fur. I couldn't brought them all home! There were at least 20 of them!

That is sad. How many did you bring home? About a month agao, they found an apartment where some one kept 100 cats. It was so filthy that they condemned the whole building. It could not be cleaned.

We didn't bring any home, Tom. But I sure wanted to! We live in an apartment and they'd up our rent (or kick us out!) if we brought any home. And we can't let them out at all here, and they aren't used to being kept in. There was no one around; we could've put them all in our car and brought them home and nobody would have known!

It's sad to see any animal being mistreated like this Sue.

unfortunately this is happening more and more and unless people report the abuse or lack of care- it continues.

We had one here not to long ago, that had Llamas and horses and cats and dogs found dead in stalls/ fields and emancipated livestock near death from starvation. As the inspectors were there, a dog ran thru with a horses leg. Upon further inspection they found many smaller animals dead in a freezer.

They give them a slap on the wrists and these types shake it off and before you know it they move some place new and start the same thing all over again.

That was extremely sad to me.....
Are they being taken care of, they should trap them and get them neutered or spayed because it will only get worse...
I'm hoping you took one home Sue??!
...and they are so beautiful!

It sure was hard not to, Doddy, but in our apartment complex they charge more for each cat!

It sure is, Jim! I guess they get fed and sleep in the hay in the barn, but I feel sorry for them. I wonder if they get their shots and any illnesses taken care of??? I wanted to bring the all home! Thanks for looking, Jim!
