Hairy Beetle

I've seen hairy Japanese beetles, but their hair was underneath their body... This beetle has it all over...

I have never seen this type. The ones I have always seen were smooth with a greenish tint to there shell....Rich

They would be the Japanese Beetles. They are gone for now, until next year that is.

I just remembered that I photographed a similar hairy beetle, called a Dusty June beetle (Parathyce palpalis), 20-mm length: http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-221253-1.html
