Hey Tom, My Wolf is pregnant.. Would have made for a Great stack but the wind was blowing and she was located in the top of a large clump of weeds.

seeing that egg case reminded me of a widow i captured.
Over a 6 month period she made several egg cases but never had any babies.

No longer gravid (pregnant), but what an egg sac. If she successfully mated prior to laying eggs, then you will have scores of mini-Wolves within a few days.
I have a female cobweb spider in my garden that I keep fat & happy with ambush bugs. There is no male spider, so ALL of the four egg sacs are infertile. The oldest is shriveled like a raisin.

martin,i dont think that is a wolf,maybe a nursery web,look at the eyes,wolf spiders have 2 big eyes.and i did some checking and the wolf carries her eggs in the back

I've never seen a Wolf's egg sac ... I posted some images yesterday where I had found a Green Lynx spider sitting on her egg sac... Weird shape it had. Most egg sacs I've seen look look like the one here, spherical...
