Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ70 Bridge Model Deal

For those of you who may be interested in a very nice bridge model with 60X lens, both regular viewfinder and LCD screen, various auto modes and manual mode, auto HDR when the camera can't control dynamic range in any other way, 1080p video recording, JPG only and RAW and RAW+JPG formats, and a lot more features, Panasonic is selling them at their online store for $249 with free shipping. Costco has them in the stores for $279 this month which is still pretty good. The one weakness I see is that the LCD screen is non-articulating at all but that may not matter to many users.

For beginners, P&S step-up, casual photography, and even advanced amateurs, this seems to be an exceptional value at that price because it was initially $399 retail.

Just thought ya'll ought to know.

I have a FZ70....it's a great deal for the money. Only drawback to me is the tiny viewfinder....but I can live with that....much better than no viewfinder.

What I especially like about the FZ70 is the 20mm wide end of the zoom. People tend to look at the long end, but the wide end can be just as important. Other bridge cameras start at 24 or 28mm. There's a big difference between even 24mm and 20mm.

I don't have an FZ70, but it is tempting.

That's a mean looking prairie dog. With that rocket launcher I bet no one messes with him.

I noticed that and that's impressive too.
