Early morning sun on my husbands succulent flower blossoms and the bees were having a high time.. He'd been pestering me to photograph the blooms and I'd been putting him off, but when I looked out the front window and saw the sun on these yellow offerings I couldn't resist.
It's good to know there a few honey bees left. They have become scarce here in Florida.
That's too bad. They are fascinating to watch and to try and photograph. Sometimes I have good luck sometimes not so much.. Here's one of my favorites....
I was trying to get a shot of a bee on one of these flowers but it took off just before the shutter clicked. Unknown to me another was coming in for a landing (upper center). If I'd stayed there, continuing to look through the view finder I might have got this guy after he landed. Then again I might of scared him off too. (LOL)

Missed him...no I didn't!
Good try Dave... It is hard to stay still and focused. I just sit down on a bench and wait.....

LOL - No bench near by and I was hunched over with a bad back. My time on target was definitely limited! (smile)

Ohhh...I can relate to bending over and a bad back...that's why I have benches and chairs spaced nicely around the yard... so I don't have to bend too much of the time.. Can't stop taking pictures tho....
Here are a couple of shots taken Sunday afternoon. Peach blossoms and peaches in February? About half a dozen bees hanging around the Peach tree. No PP, just straight OOC.

Good shots of the bees and the peach blossoms.... such strange weather we are having.. some trees and flowers are blooming in this false spring we're having and today its 40 degrees, cold and windy in So. Calif.
One from last summer.......
Busy Bee
Here's a bigger "bee" in Montana last summer.. This guy was busy too.
