Welcome to Day 37 :) Today we are going to take a look at Beauty in Unexpected Places. The odd.. the unusual... things that don't look like they belong where they are but somehow fit. What stands out in your world ?

Hmmmm...sooo maybe I can find a palm tree? Or someone sunning themself in a hammock out on a ski slope?? I'll have to think about this one...lol

what is even more unusual is a comment such as yours on thread.

Photogirl...I like that first one...looks kinda like driftwood.

mornen RR, I can only imagine you dont like such cold water, or else you would be much much closer...like in one of those boats, athlete that you are.

My son did it once. I was asked once too but wimped out.

My son did it and let me tell you, it was seat-squirmingtime as he is a Type-1 diabetic and that is NOT the place to run out of sugar!

These were taken near the 50th latitude, just a bit south of it and these are blueberry barrens and the flora is unique to northern climes. The nearest town is 95 miles of dirt road south of here.









Now this is something else rarely seen. Lots of black bears up there and all the camps and other buildings are on pilons and they all have stairs so consequently the only access the bears have to the camps is by the stairs. What they do is they make a ''bear rug'' which consists of a piece of plywood with 2 1/2'' screws put in every 2" pointingupwards as the bearscannot walk on these rugs, hurts too much. The buildings are always safe like these and at might we put them out too

Great idea...l I am really going to be looking closely today at things. Yours are great examples..

Great pictures.... Love the path with the foliage. And of course the freezing cold boat rides again

Been up for a few hours but the dress was one I took a couple of weeks ago on a trip to Myrtle Beach just thought everyone would like it..The Castle while driving this morning and not sure where I was ..it has a draw bridge, mote and everything out in the middle of nowhere..nothing but woods for miles.
