I'm thinking about a Canon 6D. I see "WB" version advertised. How many versions are there??
Where did you see it advertised?
The extended designation (WG) on the Canon 6D indicates that it comes with Wi-Fi and GPS built-in to the body, that is the only version Canon imports to the USA. You can get the grey market version without the "WG" extension, and without Wi-Fi and GPS included, but you kind of have to look to find them anymore as I think Canon ceased production of that lesser model last winter.
Unscrupulous sellers on Ebay and Amazon buy camera/lens kits and sell the lens separately. These are often offered as "White Box" lenses as Canon packages their kit lenses in all white boxes. You will not see "White Box" camera bodies as Canon does not package them that way unless they are factory refurbished items.
A link to the ad you were looking at may have helped to clarify, but I think MT has nailed it.

WB normally refers to White Balance, beyond that, dunno.
The poster did say "WB"...not "WG".

Ever look at where the G and B are on the keyboard? A common typo.
I believe that when kits are broken up and the lens and body are going to be sold separately they are sometimes referred to as "white box" items by some re-sellers.
Possibly this is because they are sold and shipped in a generic plain box rather then the original manufacture's box.
That could be a "WB" version I suppose, but not sure in this case since we have no details.

Western
Bar room. Supposedly a liquid proof version.
Thanks for the input. I originally saw the ad in amazon.com. Ity's no longer there, I suspect it was some kind of typo. I didn't know they had "gray market" sales.I would prefer to purchase a camera that was mfg in Japan..

All 6D bodies are made in Japan, regardless of what export market they were intended for.

Grey market is the same camera but minus the warranty. The lack of warranty is reflected in the lower price. It would make perfect sense to buy such in the USA when you plan to take it to another continent. Repair cost are very low in say Vietnam with the repairs taking place in authorized service shops at very low rates.
Grey market is not for everybody but very good for some.
