Choosing an exposure meter.
I decide to start using an exposure meter and need advice buying one. My budget is limited though and would like to use one that measures also incident light. Thanks in advance hogs.
I have a Minolta IV.... it is old fifteen years or so, It has been dropped off my jeep, gotten wet, been dragged all over many foreign countries. I am waiting for it to blow up. but as long as it is working, you could not get it out of my hands. It will do anything....Don't waste your time with a piece of junk...get yourself a Minolta or Sekonic. I have seen them on EBAY for around 125.00
You will pay upwards of 100.00 for a new piece of junk...
Thanks also; I heard Sekonic is the meter to have.

You cannot go wrong with a Sekonic L-358. Current price about $300. I have both an L-358 and a L-758, but you might find the 758 to be overkill.

I just bought the L-358 used on ebay for $158 it was in perfect almost new condition. It is all you should ever need.
I have a Gossen Luna-Pro F, this is a great meter.

My vote is for the Sekonic L-358, I use my a lot for studio sessions and it works great.
Thanks to you all; guess I'l be driving to downtown Indy today to Robert's Camera and shopping for a meter but by the way the old selenium cell meters do they ever go bad? I've heard moisture kills them. I do have a Weston Master II- a gift- but the needle does not move.
i use sekonic and it is great!!!
I like the Pentax spotmatic for precise metering in scenes, For instance, a white bird against a dark background. Gossen meters are very good too. Good shooting,, Joe
The Pentax is a one degree spot meter.
Great meter, why are you selling it?
