Oh, yeah...I saw the humor in her continual biting, hurtful remarks...and could imagine how her victims might feel being the target for her public venom.

Ray, loved your George Carlin quote. I was once fortunate enough to see him in concert. I subsequent to that, read all of his books. What a smart guy. After his wife died and as he aged, he seemed to get hostile and sinister and DARK. I felt sorry for the genius that appeared frustrated and depressed. It was comedy. She was a comedian. The most frequent, by far, of her targets was....

herself.

You may not have a sense of humor (and that's obvious), but she was a wonderful woman, a great force, and one hell of a funny lady. Calling her "cruel" tells everyone that you just....

didn't get it.
