This thing is pertty but I have caught good size trout on Coffee Bean beetles and fished under trees and over hanging branches the strikes can come fast and furious depending on the time of day.

That I'm not sure of. I just like the looks of the fly so I tied up a bunch of them.

Nice fish. My best woolly has always been black.

I guess now I'm gonna have to get some coffee beans and tie some up.

I never ever tried fishing but Tilde and I are moving to the Ozark Mountains on the Arkansas / Missouri border. There is a lake on property with an 800 mile shoreline, full of large mouth Bass and crappie ( I assume they are fish) so must at least buy a fishing rod and a canoe and take Theresa fishing and picnicking on one of the small islands in the lake system.

Your fly pics are so sharp and detailed, you must be an expert in both disciplines. Well done

Ian

Don't sell yourself short. How many people can do that kind of work?? (And I'm not talking about people in China/Taiwan/Foreign countries that HAVE to do it, instead of people that do it (like you) who have a feeling for the art and KNOW what the purpose of the end-product will be used for?? Think about it.  8-)

The last time I cast out of a boat the hook caught my hat and it went sailing out into the water. I reeled it back in, put it on. A good time was had by all.
