I lived on Guam for 3 1/2 years in the 70's....I visited all the Micronesian islands. Unfortunately, I was more interested in diving than I was in photography at the time and therefore have very few photos from those times....I wish things had been different, but those islands WERE very exciting to dive...

My dad fought in Tinian , Iwo Jima , Siapan. Then later cooked a Lobster
Meal with other GI's for General Isenhower.

OK, that explains it.

I can't do Rum, not since one of many trips to worship at the altar of the porcelain Budha. Long story & one I'd rather forget.

Served on ships small enough to pull into Tinian. Was never allowed very far from the pier. Reason given was too much unexploded ordinance. Oh well, swimming was great!
