don't plan on seeing one!!! There are places that are said to have Vortexes but I have been to those places and felt NOTHING. Sedona is a gorgeous place in every season although I prefer winter.

Love Sedona, Go there every chance I get,

Interesting communities in the area.

Jerome, old mining town hanging on the side of a mountain. The buildings on the one road through the town are built on stilts on one side and on a ground foundation on the other side.

Prescott, wonderful Prescott. My stepdaughter went to Prescott College for a couple of years. Quality, small environmental college. Got her degree in Marine Biology.

Camp Verde and Oak Creek. quiet lovely peaceful

Sedona. There may be vortexes. I've hiked the major canyons that are supposed to have them. Can't say I've felt them, but can't say I haven't.

Vortexes and Aura's are personal felt things that exist in your spirit.

Oak Creek Canyon. About 20 miles of canyon road alongside a gorgeous small river. At the head of the Canyon and just before you hit the Interstate to Flagstaff, another 20 miles, you can buy native american handmade jewelry from native americans selling on blankets around the perimeter of the parking lot. They are licensed to do so. You run into a lot of this activity in the SW. Soooo inexpensive. There is a lot of such activity around the college in Santa Fe NM.

If you are a general aviation flyer, go up to the mesa overlooking Sedona and see the airport. A real thrill, much like it must be to line up and land on an aircraft carrier, or take off and drop of the edge of the runways as you drop a bit and then rise up so the people actually at the airstrip can see that you made it. Take offs and landings are affected by the thermals coming up the sides of the mesa. Or, the downdrafts... all to be considered in flight planning.

Get out of those small communities and into the Red Rock country.

If you do spend time in town, particularly in Sedona, and encounter the heavy tourist sidewalk traffic, watch carefully and try not to brush against, or bruise the Aura's of the locals. Friendly but a bit eery these people.

But back to Sedona. Have a wonderful trip, and plan to be inspired to come back...... unless you have no soul or inner spirit.

UFO's.... C'mon. You know that humanity is not native to this planet. We all originally came here from starships emanating from one place or another in the universe. They were all Unidentified Flying Objects to those who were already here from a previous encounter of a preceding UFO. The only real question is, who was here to NOT IDENTIFY THE FIRST SHIP. Got it!!!!

We lived by Sedona for a year or so, love the area but it is geared for the vacationer. The vortexes are really amazing, you will feel things and get in touch with your inner being more than anywhere else in the US. I think you just did not have as many cocktails as I did before visiting one of these special areas. After 6 or so and a short walk to a vortex area I could honestly be beside myself. :D :D :D
