Thanks for the add...
Hello Everyone;
I'm James, a Newbie here... just signed up this morning. I'm originally from Massachusetts now living in New Mexico. In 1972 I was awarded an Associates Degree(2 year) in Professional Photography. I was never able to land a job in that field yet I retained the skills and used them in my own personal Photography ventures. Today with all the Digital equipment, things have changed immensely since the days of 35mm Film. Yet the practices, most of the Basics and Techniques have remained the same. No more requirements for a Photography "Darkroom" which I could never afford anyway. With Digital, if you shoot RAW, you get to develop your own pics on a PC with Photo Editing Software. This is something that I have to learn about on my own as I wander through all the pages of info on the "Internet" learning new skills, techniques, High-Dynamic Range, etc..... on Processing RAW Images. At 64 years old, they say its hard to teach an old dawg new tricks, but if you love Photography like I do.... your interests just keep on growing..... =)
Good for you. Keep growing. I'm 67. Took up photography at 65. I can't get enough of it. I'm learning Photoshop now. You're never to old.
Welcome to the Forum James.

Seriously though - the folks here have lots of good advice and a couple of days of experience and are willing share what they can - don't hesitate to ask detailed questions, in fact, the more details, the more accurate the answer :)
