It's the end of summer.....well almost.... summer officially ends on September 21st and the autumnal equinox begins on September 22nd. However, for many it seems summer ends after Labor Day when children are returning to school and therefore for many families brings an end to summer vacations.

For this challenge let's bring on what was the best about your summer in photos....whether it was traveling, mini road trips, family, staying home, or your own personal photography challenge. Or, bring on the signs of the end of summer and the beginning signs of fall.

I'll start off with a few photos from my summer.....the highlight of my summer was the June 1-4 UHH photo shoot at Yellowstone National Park with Carter....MT Shooter as our guide (We had an awesome time). Mary and I took part in this shoot and my first set are some shots when enroute to the park and Bear Tooth Pass. Some Yellowstone shots to follow later.

We watched this fellow fill his water bottle and he reported it was the best water ever. I filled our bottles...ended up with cold wet feet...but first time ever to have fresh mountain water!

My favourite part of the summer was photography!! LOL! ;-) Also my girl trippin' weekend was wonderful too. Starting tomorrow, we will be at a campground up north Peterborough, Ontario with no electricity and water...I will have some pics from there when we get back. This weekend, marks the end of summer...like you said, kids go back to school. Anyway, here are a couple pics of goldenrod to prove fall is arriving...

Beautiful photo's as usual :) . My computer has been down all week and thought I had backed up my photo's before we did a factory restore. But they were not on the disk I thought I had saved them on. I was so worried that I had lost them, then I remembered that they were probably still on the hard drive. So we had someone retrieve them for me. To my shock I had 85,000 photo's that he found. Holy cow. I have been getting into a bad habit of uploading my photo's into Picasa editing them then delete the ones I don't need but forget to delete them off the hard drive. So I have a lot of work ahead of me.

Looks like an area to try and find places to shoot which would be equal to yours. Streams and rivers are always welcomed too. #1..the bird makes the photo a lot more interesting, not that it isn't, but it is like a smidgin' of a wink as you clicked
