Nights are starting to draw in now. Badgers are looking well fed and ready for autumn.

Hello Camshy

Thanks for looking and for your kind comment. Yes cheese and peanuts, that's their favourite treat.

Great Set. In German the word for Badger is "Dachs". The Dachshund was originally bred to hunt these tough animals. Brave little dogs if you ask me.

Hello ebrunner

Thank you for looking and for your kind comment. That is an interesting fact that I was unaware of. They are strictly protected in the UK now but some criminals still bait them with dogs.

Hello Camshy

They are. They are very wary of humans (with good reason) so it takes a bit of time to get close to them but they are quite enchanting. Would not want to corner one though as they are well equipped to defend themselves.

how interesting and intriguing. love seeing these. I'm thinking they might be similar to the raccoons' activity? nocturnal and hunting for leftovers. enjoyed this series.

Hello carlysue

Many similarities with your racoons both in appearance and behaviour. Thanks for looking and for your comment which is much appreciated, glad you enjoyed them.
