Minnesots has had some really weird weather this year. Four of my tomatoes have finally vine ripened. They are about one month behind schedule. However they have been worth waiting for. They are some of the best tasting tomatoes I have ever had. The tomato in the background is 4 1/2 inches across and weighs 1 1/2 pounds. At the prices at Cub Foods yesterday, it would have cost $4.50 to buy. We have so far had three blt s and two breakfast egg, cheese, and tomato sandwiches on caraway rye with mayo and still have two tomatoes left.
Keep growing tomatoes and you'll be buying your next camera soon! Used to spend summer fishing Cass Lake and Bimidgi. Stuck in 100 degrees plus for the last few weeks here in Austin...

Our heat index is supposed to hit three digits today with possibility of thundershowers. On Case Lake Northerns and Muskies have been known to take swimming ducks off the water there for dinner. Great place to fish.
Home grown tomatoes are the best thing going.
