Very well executed photo. Nice composition, colour contrast, and exposure.

Nature offers us so many beautiful gifts, large and small, but we usually ignore them. Thank you, Jacotte, for recognizing this gorgeous little blossom and displaying its beauty across continents.

Beautiful flower shot.
So I have a question (and please pardon the hijack, here), I have trouble getting purple subjects, like flowers to come out purple. Seems the purple flowers always come out blue. Any suggestions here?

Oh dear. Unfortunately I don't know how you can change that? The colour of this flower is as it came out of camera.
Have you tried changing the colour temperature of the white balance, play around with the actual metering, not the automatic settings?

Sorry I can't be of much help.

No I haven't done that yet. Good idea, and I'll give it a try next time I try some flower shots. Thanx for the tip.
