one thing Bryan Peterson (famous photog, author and personal insperation for me) teaches is to look for the shot within the shot. a single subject can produce numerous photos from different angles. for example say a 1959 coral pink cadillac eldarado convertible. (sigh) once you take a general all over shot, move to the grill shoot that shoot the hood and hood ornament, reflections in the chrome bumper, side of car interior, taillights trunk, dashboard. finally get that guy who looks alot like elvis to pose by the car. Wait a minute that is elvis. national enquirer here i come!!!!

Being an Old(er) person I tend to love old looking things. I find rusty things equate to my failing joints quite well. Here are a few fun shots...

You have created an optical illusion....way cool...As you scroll down thru the pile of screws...notice how the top one seems to turn...one way going down and the other way going up...I put the cursor in the middle of the pics to scroll and went back several times...Wow!..I know...yall prob think I need to get a life...lol

deetle 51 im sorry i forgot to post what I thought of yyour improved photos. Great job the fact that you can read the lettering on the milk can and the detail in the rusty harvester is wonderfull. when you have an interesting subject and a bland backgroung if you fill your frame with the subject background disappears

Nice shots, you're getting the idea. There's stil more blood in that rock... if you still want to explore the subject, get really close, choose an interesting area, maybe an area that has more colors that inter mingle, or a combination of colors and textures, maybe the texture changes or the are flecks of paint still clinging to the metal or the shadows around the raised letters would be of interest to you. It's sort of an abstract,, the veiwer can't immediately identify the object, its more about the feeling...
