I'm actually starting to like this guy! And I'm a tea party conservative! Go figure.
I think he's a bit too far left for me, but if he's all we got
IL,
I expect Mitt is preparing the ground and sending out feelers to run again. I'd be surprised if he didn't.
I think he is pandering to the conservatives upset with President Obama to build a base. I would not be surprised to see him use that base to launch a campaign. I would be shocked if he didn't make overtures to minorities and then distance himself from the 'fringe right' to garner more votes.
The problem in the past was his 'flip floppiness' during the primaries. To me I saw a man that was originally Liberal go to Conservativism, then Tea Partyish and finally ending up a Moderate. He was a Chameleon.
Don't let this scare you, but I think Mitt was a good choice that was lead astray by his handlers during the last election.

Chameleon is correct. He'll say whatever he thinks the current audience wants to hear, but then forgets that it all gets broadcast to all the audiences, so every one hears his multitude of "different audience based perspectives. Most politicians are good at it, but he took it to new heights. How could you ever count on who he really is, when he is so many different faces?

We were talking about Romney not Obummer.

I keep telling you guys that Jeb would do. Nobody wants a loser like Romney, he takes in money out of the country, 47%, Dems have it already there for Mittens, make 'em work.

Exactly, so am I. Last election, I had to swallow my bile and vote for Obummer due to the dishonest and chameleonoc front put on by Romney and his little squirt.
At least with Obama, one could count on exactly how bad he would be. With R/r there were no limits, the evil could go to the depths ...

It really sounds like you're working hard to justify making a bad choice.
I knew from the start what Obummer was about and did everything I could to keep him out. And my choices didn't make me sick.

His heights and Obama's can be measured about neck and neck.
How can anybody ever believe in what Obama has to say, when his lying is so obvious and so provable...?
Mike
And yep... I know he isn't running again... but.........
Mike
Sure sure sure, go ahead and nominate Mitch again, you will have already done 50 percent of the Democrats work for them. (I know it's Mitt, it's just a dig left over from 2012)
Anyway yeah then he could immediately repeal Obamacare, and then just as quickly install Romneycare. He'd be so thrilled he'd just
oh wait I can't say what he would do in his jeans, but suffice to say he'd be so excited.
Oh wait
.you've forgotten one little roadblock. I won't say her name, but it starts with an A, and ends with NN. I seem to recall that she pretty much informed Mitt that there was no way in Hades that she would let him run again.

It's late and I need to think this one over, I'll get back to ya!
I'd put mwalsh on second string however. No charge for the consulting service. Maybe a beer should we ever meet.

He should have flip flopped after getting elected like Obama did, in other words lie a lot more.

Who's the joke? Maybe the party that has lost 5 of the last 6 presidential elections in the popular vote? Repubs have to get a positive message, not just be the party of "No." Running retreads like Romney is losing. The cons have to rethink their social positions, the people don't agree with their regressive ways. The world is changing and leaving them behind.
