A new one for me today. No crop, no PP. I think I do more damage than good so submitting as is. Can you ID for me? If not, I'll submit to Bug Guide.

Nice shots Susan. My pp makes things worse for sure but I don't want to give up on it yet. No idea what this is but I will have a look on the web.

Definitely a wood borer beetle, possibly Adorned Texas Palm Bycid (Agallissus lepturoides): http://bugguide.net/node/view/262632

Thanks Bill. He certainly was cooperative... laying on a brick walkway and would only move when I left him alone and he walked slowly then. If I touched him with a twig to try to turn him a bit, he clamped his claws into the brick and held firm. I really liked this guy!
