These look really good NP. Color, clarity, and illuminations is spot on. Hoverfly is outstanding. Very nicely done. I think you will find the SB800 easier to use at the 180 working distance versus your twin heads. I have gotten so used to using my regular speed light that I am seriously considering trading my Canon twin head in on my next purchase at the local shop...

Thanks for the words of encouragement, William. I still haven't give up totally on the twin flash. I just haven't figured out how to diffuse them without loosing so much illumination. I just really like the compactness of the twins. But I will be using the SB 800 more.
Thanks, again.

I like them all but the composition and lighting of the last stands out for me.

Thanks, Scott. Seems everyone likes the Hoverfly. Me too. I'm finally starting to get some shots that show the eye facets.
Practice, practice, practice!

i was considering a twin flash ans thinking of just putting a paper towel over each flash(with 2 or 3 inches space between the head and the paper towel sheet) of course i don't know if it will work.

They are all very good images but, the Hoverfly does stand out to me also.

I was considering selling my Tamron 180 because I don't think I need three Macro lenses. Now, I'm not so sure. :|

for me I like the wings of the first - the hoverfly wings look too much like plastic in the light you have (that's me though, for what it's worth). You and your 180 are giving me a case of GAS. Nice job!!
