#1 just rocks it for me. The contrast makes it blast. Almost like shooting bw film through a red filter. Ooops. There goes my age.

I did use a red filter when I converted to B&W on Corel PSP X6
but what really brought out the sky was a hefty level of clarity, local tone mapping and an S shaped curves adjustment. The only problem is the noticeable halo around the building

Jay green: Very nice shots - they make familiar objects look interesting. Color, contrast and perspectives result in nice compositions.
