Yes I did. But I think I got away with it without anyone noticing.

Actually I don't see a lens cap, the face of the lens is dark, possibly has a dark filter like a polarizing filter, but I don't see a lens cap, it seems to me that I can see the outer locking ring which would suggest no cap.

Take another look.

I looked at it again and yes you're probably right. But, if I was directing that, and keep in mind I have never direted film, I've only directed live theater, I would have said take the filter off because it looks like a lens cap.

Did you notice that he had a no-brand camera as well.

A little further into the movie he lowers the camera and you can actually see what appears to be a filter of some sort. UV, ND, polarizer, etc.

I can't believe that all three of you watched that movie. I gave up after 10 minutes.

at 4:20 you can see light reflected off the lens as he lowers the camera.

Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out of it alive.

The lens cap is off. at 1.02 minutes into the movie when the person first lifts the camera you can see the glint in the glass.

I love catching bloopers. I once watched Lonesome Dove. I forgot which series but it is supposed to around the locomotive era ... pre 1900. The villan was using a K31 Swiss rifle that wasn't invented until 1931. Also if you like cowboy westerns pay close attention to the cylinders on those 6 shooters. Most of them aren't even loaded even with dummy rounds.
