The original Dahlia was white with maroon rays emanating from the center - a most gorgeous specimen.

Thanks for the kind words 13Oct. Sometimes I discern more beauty in the pattern and texture of flowers than in their natural color.

Well done, another stand-out monochrome. You're really doing these up nicely. But in honesty, I miss the color in the flower!

Thanks Randy. I was tempted to buy this little lady and take her home, but I do better at stripping them of color than I do at growing flowers. I'm afraid I'd strip it of life altogether.

Thanks Cliff. That's the thing I find most seductive about monochrome - it adds drama almost immediately.
