Good Customer Service B&H Photo

Most of the time all we hear about is the bad experience. Today I had a good experience with B&H. Ordered a Samsung Universal Car Mount for my Galaxy Mega based on a chat session with a sales person at B&H. Based on Samsung's description this should have fit my phone, but alas it did not.

Got on another chat session, the person checked Samsung's specs and they indicated that it would fit.

End result is it is being shipped back at B&H expense for refund processing. While I don't have the money in the bank yet, I have no doubt it will make it there.

So how is this a good experience, the simple fact it was an easy return and no hassles. I don't hold B&H accountable for Samsung's mistakes.

So that's my story and it is a really nice day out

I have also had a great experience with the B&H customer service representatives. They made the purchase of a new DSLR camera a pleasant experience. Very knowledgeable about their products.

While I've never had to return anything to B & H, I agree, their service is excellent! I purchased a lens case on Tuesday using the free shipping (regular, not expedited) and the item arrived the next day!

I've been using them for years. Their service is impeccable as is the knowledge of their staff. If on rare occasions there is a problem it is and has always been addresse to the satisfaction of the customer. I have sent items back with no problems some being a problem with the merchandise and some I just didn't want when the item arrived. Always offered mony back but in my case always took store credit. ( I know I'm always buying something from them. ) Best place to purchase from in my opinion be it on line or from the store directly.

Need help on purchase of a tripod. I have a Canon Rebel XTi and a canon 100-400 lens, quite heavy and am looking at a used, in very good condition, Induro A313 tripod with Markins MQ20 Ball head and Wimberley Side kick. This is a heavy duty tripod, however, I think it may be needed for the large lens. Is this a good fit for my equipment and what is a reasonable price? I live on the lake and like to shoot wild life and landscapes. Most of my shooting will be done in my back yard with no commercial travel and very little local travel in my car.

My first purchase from B&H, a Nikon 8008 25 years ago, turned out to be defective after a week of use. Called B&H and returned the camera pursuant to their instructions, and received a replacement within days. Many purchases later (a D800 not long ago), I have not had any other problems and remain a loyal customer!
