I just received my nikon mount tamron 150/600! I'm very excited! My question is , should I put an extended warranty on it?

It comes with a 6 year warranty. Do you think you need longer? Or even that you could get longer?

It comes with a 6 year warranty if it is new and a USA lens (not gray market). The extended warranties I know of all start on the date of purchase, not the day the factory one ends.

That's not an "extended" warranty, that's called a "drops and spills" warranty. Different beast.

No warranty covers dropping your sensitive equipment. You need to buy an insurance policy for that.
