Alaskas Lake Louise.
This is Lake Louise Alaska not to be confused with the more famous Lake Louise Alberta Canada. Lake Louise Alaska is about 30 miles off the Glen Highway and out of the main tourist area. The first time I visited the area it was all gravel road, it was like you try to miss one pothole you hit the next two, the last time the road was paved. For me anyway, I enjoyed the serenity much there better as I did in the Canadian Lake Louise where you spend more time looking for a parking space as you do admiring the scenery. If you ever in that area I highly recommend to check it out. At the lodge the people are super friendly have nice accommodation and serve a great Burger. These pictures were taken end of September and at the lake it gets mighty cold at night as I found out since my door lock on the car was frozen in the morning. The owner of the lodge was very helpful got some warm water and poured it on the windshield to unlock it while I was having breakfast, great service and great people.
Some years back we stayed in Banff and drove up to Lake Louise to have lunch at the lake lodge where you have a nice view of the lake. After a long struggle I found parking only to find out there was a long wait to get a table so we decided go back to Banff. On the way out I saw a nice dining room empty, I walked in and a waiter approached me and said this room is only for the Japanese, I told him thats fine my name is Mike Hosokawa and I am from Nagasaki, he wouldnt believe me and I was not going to bribe him which usually works. On a cruise we requested a table for two since I am hearing impaired it is difficult to communicate. As we went for the first dinner I was told there are no tables for two, I waved the Maître de and showed him a fifty and he said I will create on for you, money talks.

We are going to be leaving Alaska soon, however, I found your story and pictures intriguing. May I ask, where off of the Glen Hwy? I'm assuming between Palmer and Glenellen?

Thank you so much Erv. You are making me humpeled with you kind response. I am glad to share as long as I can. As an artist you should check my posting from two days ago, it's a tribute by my 16 year old granddaughter to Robin Williams. I posted it in gallery but they moved it to chit-chat.
Take care my friend.

Ah, you are moving out before it gets cold which would be in about a month  You are correct the turnoff is about 30 miles west off Glenallen. This is a huge lake and I was told for great fishing but my time was limited.

Thank you for the information. We only moved here for one year, to experience Alaska's 4 seasons, and we have been here for 13 months. I would love to stay another year, but unfortunately, we must return to: You'll love this one! The San Francisco Bay Area! Our home is in the east bay, through the tunnel. Maybe we'll run in to each other shooting pictures somewhere. :D By the way, I didn't complement you on the photos you posted. I particularly like the one with the boat full of flowers.
Hey mike I see a Bud beer sign in the lodge. My kinda place.

Thank you very much, welcome back to the bay area, we have family in Danville, I live by the SF airport. I don't think we will run into each other as at 85 I don't travel very far anymore.

Amazing, both the beauty of Lake Louise and the photography. The last picture with the light on the canoe is just stunning.--
Really good work Mike,

Beautiful images. So much to see and so little time to do it.
