Egret eating a dragon fly. :(

I was watching this Egret at lunch in the park today. I couldn't figure out for a little bit what he was doing then I saw the dragonflies flying around & realized he was eating them.

Thanks cosmos...I was like hey don't eat those dragonflies I want to photograph them...:)
He really seemed to enjoy them...I didn't know egret's ate dragonflies.

Great set. I shoot Egrets fishing at the beach
quite often. They have some real skills.
The ones here have yellow feet. Do yours?
I have noticed the pelicans here look much
different than in other parts of the country.
I'm just learning about birds.

Thank you..lucky you to live near the ocean & be able to shoot the birds there....I have a variety of birds here & really like photographing them.
The Egrets in this area have black feet.
I am told we have some white Pelicans in our area but I haven't seen those yet.
