Sorry, he was also the biggest jerk ever.
No decent human being would do what he did to his family. He was so egotistical to want to be the funniest all the time. He loved drugs more than his family. What he did to his kids is unforgiveable. He did not leave the world a better place at all. Nothing good about that.
What about the kids?

If you'd stop being a complete asshole and read a little about suicide, you would still be an asshole, but a better educated one.

One of the totally wrong headed ideas about suicide is that it is a totally selfish, cowardly act. But research has shown that the people who attempt suicide often feel that the lives of their loved ones would be better without them, that they are a huge burden to those who know and love them. Many attempted suicides are merely misguided attempts on one level to relieve people of the burden that these people have come to believe they are. So although it is misguided, suicides are actually an altruistic attempt to ease others lives.

So, like I said, now you are just a better-educated asshole. Have a nice day.

You are the asshole. Suicide is a cowardly act committed without regard for those left behind.
You do not know any more than I do unless you speak from personal experience, i.e. beyond the grave.
I have a lot of compassion for the kids left behind. Do you? Asshole.

Jack, I am afraid that you are being an ignorant ass. Many people share your sentiment.

But depression leading to suicide is a devastating disease. Yes, it devastates the surviving friends and family. That does not make it a cowardly act though. Its actually pretty brave. Complete hopelessness can make one feel they are doing their friends and family a favor by leaving. Because of the depression, they can feel unworthy of their family. Its a tragedy for all concerned.

================================
I am afraid that you are an ignorant and arrogant ass.

You followed it up with that many people share my sentiment.
You call someone an ass and then say many people share your sentiment? Idiotic.

How arrogant to assume that I do not know. What makes you think you know more about it than I do? That is where the arrogance shows.
The drug addicts should know that no one is going to admire that they pump themselves full of drugs to "enhance" their performance.

People are falling all over themselves to tell how wonderful the drug addict was.
He did not have the decency to care about what he did to his kids.

You, no hoper, hand wringing admirers, are the enablers.

I believe his kids are school age. Can you imagine having to go to school and everyone knows. Oh boy, the bleeding hearts will have a pity party to make themselves feel good.
All that is fine but don't tell me what a great guy he was after he hangs himself at his family home and tell me I am an ass.
Of course it is a tragedy for all concerned but only one had control and he was a total ass.

You displayed a lot of arrogance and ignorance and now you and I and the drug-user are asses.
Is that fair to donkeys?

Happy now? A**h*le.

I never said people who share that sentiment are asses. Most just don't know any better and its a common prejudice.

You an ass because of the way you express the sentiment, and all the bitter hate and vitriol you spew.

Have a nice day.

Holy crap...this is the most vile, unfeeling thing I've read in a LONG time.

you should be ashamed of yourself.

If marrying a dog makes someone happy...who's to remove that "right" from them?

If marrying your grandkid makes you happy...then who's to tell you that you cannot?

By the way....both have happened in the last few years and more is on the way...the American Psychariatric Association is already considering changing the classification of pedophilia from a "mental disorder" to a "sexual classification" ala homosexuality or transgenderism or whatever.

you should be ashamed of yourself.

Right, liberal bum. You are a sick man if you are a man.

It's OK in your world to be high on cocaine standing on stage and when the lights dim you kill yourself and be called a hero. No wonder the country is going to hell.

You should be ashamed of yourself but you are past shame.

The hell you didn't. I have no hate at all. Only compassion for the family and disgust with the jerk who caused it all.

You should be ashamed of yourself to attack me when I am telling the truth even if the truth is nasty.
Have a lousy day for calling me an ass and by extension a lot of others.

Don't flatter yourself by extending your assness to "a lot of others."

You are the single, only person I have heard spew such vitriol about a mental health tragedy that you very clearly do not understand in the least.

There is the problem. It is OK to spend a life on drugs and kill yourself and ruin others and I am the only person who clearly doesn't understand in the least.

You are a nasty and vicious person. However, I wouldn't wish Robin Williams' demons even on you.
