Republicans are Lazy. Too lazy to look up the facts at least. That's why they need so many vacation days.

I guess you miss the point that the president in his own words said that he was going to be different....

Just more lies from a serial liar....

Personally I know many people myself included who have gone years without taking vacations as we felt that our businesses needed our presence... I am amazed at how the politicians don't feel the same sense of commitment.

Personally I don't care what Bush, Clinton or any previous president did. That can't be changed. Why do you liberals always have to try and blame someone else and are more concerned about the past than the present or future. The clip is just one more of Obama's lies as he made it quite clear in the interview what he was going to do. FYI as you mentioned Bush entertained many dignitaries, etc. at his private ranch. How many people has Obama entertained at his private residence?

If I'm remembering correctly, Bush was vacationing at his ranch when he was given the August 2001 presidential daily brief titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in the United States."

Of course Bush didn't pay any attention to the PDB because he knew it wasn't Bin laden who would strike the World Trade Center. He had already been briefed on the operation by Cheney and Rumsfeld.

...so you're saying Bush's vacations were "working" vacations? :hunf:

Not exactly. Cheney and Rumsfeld were working.

Bush, who has his father's foot-in-mouth disease, was kept out of the loop as much as possible. That's why he was sent to Florida on the day of the event.

See exactly what I have said. You liberals try and twist everything to cover up Obama's lies. You had better look at the clip again. It's about Obama and what he said not what anybody else has done.

I'm not trying to cover up Obama's lies. Obama is not one of us. He's a puppet for the ruling oligarchy. If they give him orders to lie, he lies.

" White House
Presidential Vacation Criticism Is as Old as Washington"

"When John Adams spent seven months at his Quincy, Mass., farm in 1798, he was accused of abdicating his office and Congress tried to take advantage of his lengthy absence to push for a war with France. The criticism helped undercut his bid for a second term. James Madison celebrated the end of the War of 1812 by staying away from Washington for four months – from June until October 1816."
