When the hubby got up this morning I was sitting at the patio door behind the tripod with my coffee in one hand and the shutter release cable in the other :)
A bakers dozen lol.
My Gott, do you always have that many over for breakfast EVERY day ? ;)
You mean I can get shots like that if I:
1. Buy a bird feeder or build a bird foot platform
2. Get up at dawn
3. Make a pot of coffee
4. Learn to hold coffee in one hand and shutter release in the other ?
5. Greet wife as she gets up and make her coffee
And take pictures using manual focus too ?
I'm lost after #1 and #2

Have been this week anyhow ... must be the new bird food
Looks like there are about 20 out there right now.. the music is wonderful and the tree is about 25 ft from the patio door.

Yep !! but don't forget the tripod lol. What I did was focus in on a certain part of the tree.. sit and sip my coffee and wait for someone to land there and click the cable release ... plus I set the camera on continuous shots so I could snap 2 or 3 just in case they came and went real fast. It's an awesome way to start the day
9 and 10 and a big fat wow
I think 9 is a house finch...not sure about 10
a white crowned sparrow?
You did good...im proud of ya working like that...

I'm going out today and find a bird feeder and stand.
Then I'm gonna get out the shovel and shovel the SNOW out of the way until I find a good spot.
Then I'm going to have more coffee.

Really nice group of pictures. I especially like the dove as I'm visited daily by pair after pair of these very pretty and colorful birds. I can have as many as 30 or more birds at my feeders every day.The feeders are in front of my living room window. My husband sits in his wheel chair and they entertain him.
The best part of waking up-- are birds in your yard. Great photos.
Very nice shots. I am sure that you are in Az. The tree has points on it, like most all plants here.
