East Tn. Super Moon

I didn't think I was going to get a shot of the Super Moon but rain & clouds went away & I was able to get some shots....turned out to be a beautiful night! :-o

Very nice, I got some before it dissappered in cloulds but got some more as it came back before it was gone again.
Just posted first ones.
Got 14 or 15 more to post later.

Your shots turned out great...the trees make the difference I wish I had got it early when it was coming up over the lake so I could have gotten the trees in my shots...good job on yours. :)

Thank you, sis is down at Padre Island Tx. and wanted to see it over the ocean but clouds are not letting that happen so far.

Those are great pictures. I missed my opportunity to photograph this last super moon because of work. What equipment are you using?

Thank you...I have a Nikon D5100 with 2 kit lens...one of them a 70-300 which I have just about wore out...lol ..I shoot a lot with it. I have a 105 mm Sigma Macro lens which Is a great lens.
I also have a Canon 5D mark 11 that I love...I have 24-105 & a Canon 100 mm Macro with it.
I used my Nikon with 70-300 on the moon shots.

Enjoyed the moon shots !! I was there at that time but it was cloudy there so didn't get the shots I would have liked. I think it is fascinating that you have both Nikon and Canon, which makes it somewhat difficult with lenses. I have a Canon and a Pentax each with 5-6 lenses, so I know what you go through when you choose a camera to take on a shoot.

I do Pam, I have a little cabin in Cosby and go there very frequently, and after my granddaughters wedding on Oct 11, I will be back on the road back to Tenn

I know where Cosby is....we have been looking for a place in Townsend.....I am about an hour & a half from there & go to Cades Cove & over to Cataloochee when I can...I love to see the Elk & it is a gorgeous place.
