The holy hocks are so beautiful this year so I thought I'd take a couple of shots last evening with a flash and the colors just seemed to be magnified under the flash.

I love the dark red color in the first image. I've shot lots of hollyhocks, but never with flash. Nice job!

Thank you. Yes I have also but when I went out to take a couple of pics of the moon last night I just took these as a whim and they turned out great.

Those are great. I haven't seen Holly Hocks since I moved from Kentucky to Southern California in the 60's.

Yeah, it's a lot different out there. I spent time in the Navy out in southern Cal in the late 60's on the USS Ranger then just north on the USS Enterprise
