India - Kingfishers - Common Kingfisher

I have often mentioned that I would post images of kingfishers, on the request of some friends on UHH. I start with the Common Kingfisher.
Hovering - I didn't know they did this, until I saw this.

Indrajeet, thank you so much for posting these. I think they are the most interesting bird I have ever seen. They are so beautiful in color, and kind of comical to look at with their large beak. Not to mention, you do such a beautiful job of photographing all of the birds, they are such a pleasure to view.

Thank you Sylvia, happy to note that you enjoyed the posts. It is a pretty bird and their activity level are high, which makes them quite a handful to get focus on. I enjoy photographing them.
