The cardinal family finally showed up today. The wind was blowing like crazy and the snow was flying.
My first Cardinal picture of the year.

I think this little Junco looks like he was painted.

very pretty....... I want to make a statment here though, it's really hard to get pictures of birds, wildlife etc. I tried to get some this weekend, and now I have a new appreciation for everyone shots.

I have a confession to make. I cheat. The feeder and trees are outside my windows. I sit in the kitchen where it is warm with the window open and take pictures. The finches don't even fly away any more when I open the window and the camera noises are no big deal to them any more either. Also these are the best of about 100 I took today. Most ended up deleted.
