West - a female Broadtail. Hard to tell without a size reference.

Could be a fledge, given the size. Maybe female Calliope, but I doubt it.

It would be very helpful in identifying bird species to say where the photo was taken! Bird species have particular ranges. For example, if you are East of the Mississippi there is only one indigenous specie of hummingbird, the ruby-throated. Only rarely would other species show up. This does appear to be a female ruby-throated hummingbird, but it could be a female of another specie if you are in California, for example. Also, some species are very similar but of different sizes, so sometimes one photo without size reference isn't sufficient to make an identification.
