Yes folks, it's holiday time again--National Paint a Daylily Day. Daylily painting festivals are being held all over the country today, accompanied by long-winded speeches, parades, picnics, and fireworks.

Or maybe not.

But I can have my own private parade and picnic. Without the speech, of course. And the fireworks will come later, when my wife sees the bill for the latest software I bought.

I've been waiting for this day forever...my favorite time of year...can't wait to see what the groundhog will do!!...(or is that a different one??)

Oh...and just tell your wife,it takes the best software made to even try to recreate the beauty that oozes from her everyday!!...(also call her "Honey" a lot)...sometimes it works!!

Great work..I like it!!

Thank you, Shakey. Glad you enjoyed it. Fun painting these images, never quite know in advance how they'll turn out, and a lot of them go in the wastebasket, lol.

Thanks for looking and your kind words, much appreciated!

Wow, even Martian's secret fertilizer isn't quite that deep, lol! If I ran that fertilizer by her, tho, she might not hit me quite as hard. Good suggestion!

And I've heard the Groundhog has chosen this holiday as an opportunity to announce his candidacy for the 2016 Republican Presidential nomination, since they apparently have no other viable candidates. I don't know about you, but I think he has a real chance against Hillary!

Thanks for looking, Rlaugh, glad you liked it, and thanks for bringing me a smile today!

Lol, that's just the ticket! I'm sure Paint Your Dandelion Day would soon take over as the second biggest holiday behind Christmas. Or possibly Guy Fawkes Day. Either way, it can't miss!!!

Lol!

Thanks as always for looking and your kind words. Much appreciated!

I do appreciate your efforts to keep me alive, lol. Hope I can return the favor when your own wife finally gets a look at your 'fishing buddies...'

And with a groundhog and raccoon on the ticket, the Republicans will finally have a fighting chance against the Democratic juggernaut!

; )
