Thought I would take a stab at converting to B&W in PSE 12. This is a redo of my first effort at OOB.

Personally, I will always choose color for flowers or virtually any of the myriad of colorful things in nature.

I like the color much more than the BW.

Chris :)

Thanks for the comments, I prefer the color version also, but, this is an experiment.

Ahhhh, I see know robert. You told me you like flowers and some black and white. How wonderful when you can have both!

I like the B&W version, I just like the color more, I have seen many flower shots that are great in B&W but not so great in color. For a long time (decades) I have thought that with the right color treatment you could make garbage on a trash dump look "pretty", but in B&W you have to concentrate on the objects and that way the dump looks like what it is, a dump.

I'll be the odd man out here: I prefer the black and white version because it jumps at the viewer, saying, "Look at Me!" While the color version is also a nice photo, it lacks the punch of the black and white--it looks like most other pretty flowers to me.

Thanks, I redid the B&W elsewhere with its own title.
