It's difficult to consider this camera a 'point and shoot when it takes such great pictures.

Awesome shots Chris!
I just bought this camera and feel the same way!
It is light years ahead of my canon eos30d with all my lenses!

Thanks Angela. I bought a special metal bayonet style ring so now I can use lens filters and my polarising lens.

Where can I see some of your shots?

This is a superb set, Chris. The flowers are real wall hangers. Hey, even a $3,000 DSLR is a 'P & S' if the user shoots it in 'Auto' mode, lol. :-) :-)

The composition of #1 is very beautiful - and that has nothing to do with the camera :)

Also, the SX50 is considered a "bridge" camera since it offers much that a DSLR does, including the ability to shoot manual exposure and in raw; plus has a viewfinder (even if not the greatest :) ) - this class of camera bridges the gap between point and shoot and DSLR.

And as you know, it's just so darned fun to shoot with :)

These are wonderful photos. I hope you enjoy your SX50. There are many members on UH who have them and give them very high praise and justifiably so. The SX50 is an amazing camera.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, the Egrets do hang out there, but so do the Blue Herons if you are there at the right time.

Thanks Dook. You are right about my camera not really being a P&S. It's a lot more than that. :)

Thank you PG. I am so behind on replying to everyone's comments and I apologize for that. I just don't get on everyday.
Thanks, again.
