Yesterday was a wickedly hot day to be hiking up in the hills. It was so hot, the water in my bottle could have been used for tea. It also seems that virtually all of the wildlife, even the birds, had migrated to the Yukon, to cool off. The only birds I saw were turkey vultures.
Then, this lone bird appeared. It was far enough away that I could not tell what it was, but I knew I ought to start snapping. It wasn't until I downloaded the pictures, that I knew what I'd seen. This is only the second peregrine falcon that I've seen, up in the Sunol, CA hills.
Nice. To have gotten closer would have been better.

Looks awesome. Can you crop it in a little to make
it larger? Great job.
I was afraid that if I cropped it too much that I would lose some of the sharpness. Here it is, cropped a bit closer. At this size, it doesn't seem like it lost much, but if you look at the download, you will see a loss of sharpness.

Beautiful bird. Thanks for the crop.
Yeah, it does take away a little.
Thats where the mega pixel count helps.
I just moved from a 3100 to a 7100 for that very purpose.
Now I can crop without much effect.
Have a great day.
